One simple advantage is that when we take

” On the other hand, Ducati, which recently became the latest entrant to the high-end biking segment in the country has wasted no time and has already launched its own owners’ group called the Desmo Owners Club or DOC. Ashutosh Palep, who is currently the president of the newly opened chapter of Desmo owners Club in Mumbai, says, “Yes, eight of ours members will be going to Italy to take part in the annual congregation very soon. Telling us about the group and its activities, Dr. One simple advantage is that when we take international biking trips, we can get help from the local chapters of the HOG.”. Also, we have people from varying professions and there’s only one unifying factor, which is the bike.” However, they are not just a brotherhood. “The customers are constantly upgrading their bikes. So every Sunday we take a weekend trip, which is usually towards Lonavla, Nashik or Baroda. We too consider ourselves the brand ambassadors of Harley. Palep is, “The after sales service and help. All riders ride in proper formations and we are all initiated in various signals for communication and safety measures.Owning a high-end superbike or a touring motorcycle is no longer just a guilty pleasure but rather an entry ticket to a loyal brotherhood of bikersThe reason why Harley, Triumph or even Ducati don’t advertise as much as other brands, one might think, is because their automotive masterpieces speak loud enough for themselves. But apart from that, once you are a member you get something called the Harley Badge, which for all intents and purposes is a Harley bike in your pocket.”Pallavi, on her part adds that this is at the core of Harley’s philosophy. Now that Ducati has officially launched showrooms, I thought it would be a good time to buy. But then, why go for billboards, TVCs or even the haranguing pop-ups (which have become the norm for advertising in the modern era) when you have your customers doing it for you They’d rather spend on building communities and a loyal customer base.

We are a new chapter, so we only have about 30 registered members with about 60 or so total owners.” Telling us about the club’s activities, he says, “As of now, a major chunk of our activities revolve around weekend or Sunday trips. Our customers are very loyal and if you have a lower end model, you are very likely to upgrade and buy another one when you think of buying another bike. Another major manufacturer that has surfed on this trend for sometime now is Triumph. How it works is, wherever you go, if you have a Harley Badge, you can get a Harley bike to ride around in. In doing so they have given rise to a fast-growing trend in the country of ‘biking brotherhoods’— ones that are divided by professions, but united by brands. Palep reveals that it was a childhood dream of his to buy a Ducati and says, “I have been considering buying a Ducati for a long time now because I was always fascinated with the brand.” A major perk of being in such a group, adds Dr. And her point is well attested to by Sridhar Raju, an avid biker and a proud Harley owner himself. We even do overnight trips from time to time.” Sridhar, who has owned a Harley for the past three years says, “Since it is an international community, being a part of it helps you wherever you go. These motorcycling fellowships come with their own perks, adds Sridhar. I thought of buying it a few years back but back then you had to import the bike through agents. According to me, that is a major part. So it helps us directly as well.”Harley is not the only high-end motorcycle company to adopt this model. For example, when we were riding for the India Bike Week in Goa this year, it was Triumph that organised everything from the routes to our schedule and stay.“Our owners are our brand ambassadors,” says Pallavi Singh, the head of marketing for Harley Davidson in India. He says, “It’s a very professional set up and the best part about the group is the networking.”The China car batteries for sale way it works out in advantage for the brand itself, adds Pallavi, is that an existing customer base is not a stagnant set up.” What really makes it a cut above other private biking clubs, says Kalyani is that with a club like the RAT the standards of professionalism are on an international level. “I have been a part of other clubs and the main difference is that there are no unnecessary stunts or speeding while on the road.In a surprising move, the DOC, which is one of the biggest such groups worldwide, recently announced that eight of its Indian members will be going to Italy to take part in the 90th anniversary celebrations of Ducati, where over 20,000 bikers are expected.

Sridhar, who is currently the President of the Harley Owners Group, popularly known as HOG (One of the largest of such communities or brotherhoods the world over) tells us, “When we ride as a group around the city or on trips, it naturally makes people notice and our activities help the brand. Known internationally for it’s loyal customer base, Triumph’s RAT or Riders Association of Triumph is one of the best motorcycle clubs in the country with extensive involvement from the brand itself. And as far as HOG is concerned, building a relationship with our customers is at the core of Harley’s philosophy. When we came in 2009, there was not much of a biking culture in the country and in the last few years it has grown tremendously. “We were one of the first such brands in the touring segment to enter India. Giving us an insider’s account of the club, professional biker, Kalyani Potekar, who is also one of the growing number of professional women bikers in country says, “The brand is extensively involved and helps us in all our club activities.” Dr

They are very handy for creating quick Photo IDs

They are very handy for creating quick Photo IDs and restaurants use them as keepsake giveaways for customers. Polaroid has remained a synonym for instant-print cameras for 60 years, until the company went bankrupt in 2008, killed by digital and mobile phone cameras. In an era of digital albums, instant print solutions are making a comeback“Why can’t I see them now ” a little girl asked her father.8 inch) or the size of a credit card. A tiny LED switches from green to red while you are recording. It toggles between on and off and between still picture (6 MP) and video. Fuji sells the instant film in packs of 10 (a twin pack غير مجاز مي باشدts or about Rs 1,000) and it is a cinch to slot in a pack into the camera. There are other models from Rs 6,441 to Rs 10,999. She wondered why it took so long to develop and print photos she had taken with her box camera. There is only one other press switch. It comes with a magnetic base which allows you to stick it on any metal surface — the handle bar of your bike, the dashboard of your car, or your helmet rim. The battery is good for 90 minutes between recharges. It sets up its own WiFi link to your phone and once you have installed the free Android or iOS app, you can click on the phone to wirelessly take a print.

You open the cover with a coin to reveal a mini USB port to transfer the recording; a slot to take a 32 GB micro SD card for storing the files and a slide switch to choose 720 or 1080p video.6 cms (2. Both the printer and the Mini camera work off 2 CR2 batteries supplied. I loved the detailed instructions that come with both Fuji products — clearly written with dummies in mind! The Polaroid Zip Polaroid has also launched an instant wireless printer in India. Now incredibly, they are making a comeback worldwide as there are enough people who still want to see them now — holding a print in their hands, rather than posting them on Instagram. The latest, that I have been trying out, is the Instax Mini 70 (pictured right), a chunky device with (what else!) a special selfie button as well as close-up macro and landscape modes and a self timer. Cameras have become a lot smarter since the early instamatics — and the Mini 70 is very good at figuring out the right exposure. Dr Edwin Land then went on to co-found the Polaroid Corporation and in 1948 answered his daughter’s wish — by inventing the Land self-developing camera, which produced a print 60 seconds after you took a photograph. The Zip smartphone printer links to the phone either via Bluetooth pairing or by NFC (you place the phone on the printer) and uses a USB cable for charging its built-in battery. You can load the sheets of Zink — zero ink — photo paper into the printer and use the Zip app to print, much in the same way as the Instax printer. Shoot your wholesale GEL batteries factory image and the photo rolls out — taking about 40-50 seconds to develop. The Japanese film company Fuji, however, retained faith in instant cameras and continued to produce them under the brand Instax.. The Mini 70 غير مجاز مي باشدts Rs 11,500.5 cms, weighing just 45 gms.In India, Fuji has been marketing a slate of Instax Mini cameras for almost a year now. The printer is priced at Rs 14,500. It غير مجاز مي باشدts Rs 13,350, but uses more area of the paper to provide a 2-inch by 3-inch print, while Fuji leaves space to add your titles and notes.2 by 4. The Polaroid Cube is just that — a cube of 3. And here’s irony for you!

Fuji makes Polaroid-branded Snap instant cameras for PLR IP Holdings, the company that was born out of the ashes of the original Polaroid and now offers a range of handy still and video cameras and printers. So, for Rs 9,999 you get a rugged weather-proof action cam corder whose use is only limited by your imagination. The 35 mm lens comes with a wide 124 degree field of view.Smartphone insta-printers For those who want to use the camera on their phones, Fuji offers the Instax Share Smartphone printer SP1 which takes the same 10-print pack of film.5 inch by 1.Ultra-small action cam Moving beyond instant prints, Polaroid has also brought to India what is arguably the smallest full HD 1080p camera, in a design of stark simplicity. The word ‘mini’ relates to the instaprint size — 6

The money collected will be used to purchase 1000 helmets

.Could art inspire one to wear a helmet while riding? The recent Motoart Show at Bombay Art Society set out to do just this, as a motoart-themed exhibition put on display artistic helmets and motoart artwork painted by artists renowned in the space. A lot of people in India don&wholesale GEL batteries39;t wear helmets, especially kids and mothers. The whole trip was documented, and Jensen says the footage will be put to good use. “The whole road trip was covered on film and via still pictures. With the material, we will create a coffee table book and a documentation.”Jensen hands out a helmet on the charity rideThe Helmets for India group actually has an interesting formation story, as it was founded by extreme sports TV presenter, Jensen, after he visited India last year to shoot for a TV show. People got badly hurt and to my surprise, they were not wearing helmets. We are also trying to get this project into magazines around the world so that we can muster support from the motorcycle fraternity and fund another charity-adventure-road trip where we will give out more free helmets,” shares Jensen. The helmets will be put up for auction at the end of the year and there might be an online auction as well, so that it’s easier for people to participate.

So, I created a charity-adventure-road trip and connected to the art scene in the motorcycle # community. “For me, motorcycles are a piece of art and I love art, so I wanted to combine the art scene with the motorcycle community and the motorcycle industry,” says Neils-Peter Jensen, avid biker and founder of Helmets for India, when asked what inspired him to turn to art to create awareness. He says, “I fell in love with the country and the people, but I also witnessed a bad accident. The 25 painted helmets will be showcased at cool motorcycle events and film festivals across Europe.”Helmets for India’s road trip saw the team and a few bikers from Mumbai, undertake a Mumbai-Goa trip during which helmets were given to people in need. I wanted to show people that helmets are a cool accessory — an item that looks awesome and can save your life as well. The beautifully-painted helmets, all of which featured vibrant designs and colours, were as much a treat to look at as they will be to wear.

The money collected will be used to purchase 1000 helmets, which will be distributed to motorcycle riders in India by the Helmets for India team.Talking about the show, Mallika Prakash, curator of the Motoart Show and Project Manager (India) for Helmets for India, says, “The helmets featured in the exhibition were specially painted by 25 artists from around the world, including five from India – IRONic, Eimor Customs, Moto Machao, Mallika Prakash and Womeneoteric Customs. The exhibition was organised by Helmets for India, a group dedicated to creating awareness about the importance of wearing helmets, and was just the beginning of their year-long campaign
